Let's Twist Again, an interaction research project, explores and expands the functionalities of the Neff TwistPad, a control device for the cooking stove and part of a new generation of Neff kitchen appliances. The project's goal is to replace the smartphone in the kitchen and promote collaborative cooking.
The prototype extends the TwistPad's capabilities beyond stove control, enabling users to control music playback on a connected phone, scroll through recipes hands-free while cooking and manage incoming calls without reaching for a device.
By consolidating these everyday functions into a single, purpose-built interface, the prototype removes the need to interact directly with a smartphone while cooking.
Awarded Second Place in the "Die Küche zum …?" contest by NEFF, a brand of BSH Home Appliances.
Created as a part of THA Interaction Design course.
